🌈Are you ready to immerse yourself in a world of color? This week, we’re putting the final touches on our upcoming special exhibition, The Nature of Color. You’ll get to explore five rooms that dive into the science behind light, the cultural significance of certain hues, the emotion color can evoke—and more! This exciting new show opens to the public on March 9. 🌈Don’t forget: Members see our exhibitions first. A weekend of exclusive Member Preview Days begins on Friday, March 6. Not a member? Use the #linkinbio for a special discount. Offer valid through 3/8. #AMNH150
“Colors affect our mood, our perceptions, even our behavior,” the museum’s site says HERE. “There’s plenty of evidence that colors inspire deep feelings in almost everyone.”
In the Red Room (no, NOT the one Anastasia visits in “50 Shades,” GEEZ!) you’ll learn how that color has influenced human history, and see displays from sports uniforms to fashion. Learn about the emotions that colors evoke in the Yellow Room. And the White Room allows you to experiment to “see what colors you can create.”
Sounds worth the trip, even just for all the supremely Instagrammable photo ops!
