Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are among dozens of people charged in a college admissions cheating scam. According to Federal court documents that were unsealed on Tuesday, Huffman allegedly gave $15,000,“to participate in the college entrance exam cheating scheme on behalf of her oldest daughter.” Huffman was taken into custody in Los Angeles and will make her first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
Loughlin best known for her role on Full House and her husband reportedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC.” Loughlin will return to Los Angeles this afternoon and will turn herself in. Her husband Mossimo Giannulli was arrested and is expected to appear in court today.
Beyonce and Jay-Z will be honored at the 2019 GLAAD Media Awards. The couple will receive GLAAD’s Vanguard Award. The award is “presented to allies who have made a significant difference in promoting acceptance of LGBTQ people.” Former recipients include Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez.
