This year’s HGTV Smart Home giveaway house is located in the private resort community of Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina, and has what the press release calls “elevated Southern style.” The 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath house is almost 2,900 square feet of energy-efficient materials and smart technology. The photos show a PS4 virtual reality system, Peleton bike, waterproof TV in the shower, retractible screens on the porch, motorized rotating shoe shelves, and some kind of a remote controlled toilet with a “custom experience for each user.” It’s also apparently “just a short kayak ride from the Atlantic Ocean,” so that’s something. Viewers can enter the sweepstakes twice a day from April 17 through June 7, to win the grand prize package worth $1.6 million which includes the house, a hybrid Mercedes-Benz car, and a $100,000 cash prize.
