Jim Carrey won’t face trial over girlfriend’s suicide

Jim Carrey will not be going to trial in his ugly legal battle with the mother of his former girlfriend Cathronia White. The lawsuit claimed that the comedian was responsible for her daughter’s suicide and that he illegally obtained prescription drugs for her. Carey filed a countersuit claiming they were trying to extort money from him. Both cases have been dismissed. White overdosed on prescription pills in September 2015.

E! has cleared Ryan Seacrest of misconduct. “The investigation, conducted by outside counsel, found insufficient evidence to support the claims against Seacrest and therefore could not be substantiated. E! is committed to providing a safe working environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity,” a network spokesperson said. A former stylist made claims of misconduct by Seacrest. No details about the alleged incident are known except that it reportedly happened roughly ten years ago.

Sarah Jessica Parker shared how she felt about Kim Cattrall’s comments that the cast of Sex and the City were “never friends.” “Just heartbroken,” Parker told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. “I mean, that whole week, you and I spoke about it endlessly, because I was just, I don’t know, I found it very upsetting because that’s not the way I recall our experience.
