Mariah Carey blames technical issues

Mariah Carey rang in the New Year with an unfortunate performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin Eve. Mariah’s camp quickly reported that she could not hear on stage due to equipment failure and claimed that the production company sabotaged her intentionally for ratings. Dick Clark Productions fired back with a statement of it’s own. “To suggest that DCP…would ever intentionally compromise the success of any artist is defamatory, outrageous and frankly absurd.”

Ed Sheeran welcomed in the new year by announcing that he had new music on the way. The singer holds up a sign that reads, “New Music coming Friday!!” in a video he posted on Instagram and Twitter. The Thinking Out Loud singer had announced back in late 2015 that he was taking a hiatus from his phone and social media. Sheeran’s last album was released in the summer of 2014. Welcome back.

Lauren Conrad shared some big news with her fans on Sunday morning. The Hills star is expecting her first child with husband William Tell. She posted a picture of a sonogram along with the caption, “Happy New Year! I have a feeling 2017 is going to be the best year yet.” Congratulations to the happy couple.
