SIDNEY POITIER dead at the age of 94

Legendary actor Sidney Poitier has passed away at the age of 94. The news of his death was announced by Bahamas Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell. The trailblazing actor was the first Black man to receive the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1963. He took home the award for his role as Homer Smith in Lilies of the Field.  President Obama awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009. His career spanned 71-years and included iconic roles in classic films including,  “A Raisin in the Sun,” “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner” and “In the Heat of the Night.”

Nicolas Cage and his wife Riko Shibata are expecting their first child together. “The parents-to-be are elated!” a rep for the couple told People. This is Cage’s 5th marriage and is already a father to two sons from previous relationships

James Corden is that latest late night host to announce that he has COVID-19. “I just tested positive for COVID 19,” Corden wrote on social media. “I’m fully vaccinated, boosted, and because of this, am fortunate enough to say I feel completely fine.” Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers also announced they tested positive earlier this week.
