BLAKE SHELTON is LEAVING THE VOICE

Blake Shelton is leaving The Voice after 23 seasons. Shelton is the only remaining original coach. When the show premiered in 2011 Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera , CeeLo Green and Shelton all sat in the big red chairs.  “I’ve been wrestling with this for a while and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after next season,” Shelton wrote. “The show has changed my life in every way for the better and it will always feel like home to me. It’s been a hell of a ride over these 12 years of chair turns,” Shelton wrote on Instagram.

Kevin Bacon opened up about losing his fortune in Bernie Madoff’s Ponzi scheme. The Footloose star said on the Smartless podcast that he and his wife Kyra Sedgwick “had most of our money in Madoff.” He told the hosts “Certainly, you get angry and stuff, but I have to say, there were a lot of people who were much worse off than we were – old people, people whose retirement funds were completely decimated.” He added that a “portion” of their losses were returned but not all.

Cyndi Lauper announced that she is launching the Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights Fund to support organizations fighting for the right to abortion and reproduction health care. “What should be a private medical decision between you and your doctor is now a government decision,” she told  PEOPLE. “So, this is a big issue for me.” This is not Lauper’s first time championing human rights. In 2008 she co-founded True Colors United to aid homeless LGBTQ+ youth.
