Mark Hamill was in San Diego this weekend to celebrate having a street named after him. The Star Wars icon lived in the Claremont neighborhood for four years in the 1960’s. Hamill moved around a lot as a kid since he was the son of a naval officer but spent the longest amount of time in San Diego. “Part of me is honored because the community reached out to make me part of something I’ve wanted for so long – a sense of place. I don’t really have a home town, but if I could pick a hometown it would certainly be San Diego,” Hamill told the crowd.
