MICHAEL B. JORDAN in talks about SUPERMAN

According to Variety Michael B. Jordan met with Warner Bros. earlier this year about Superman. “However, Jordan isn’t ready to commit to taking on the project since filming doesn’t seem likely to happen for several years and he has a full dance card of projects. Insiders think that a new Superman film is unlikely to hit screens before 2023, given that there’s no script and no director attached.”

Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” just broke three world records. Carey  now holds the record for the highest-charting holiday (Christmas/New Year) song on the U.S. Hot 100 chart by a solo artist, most-streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours (female) and most weeks in the U.K. singles top 10 chart for a Christmas song. All three records will be included in the Guinness World Records 2020 Edition book.

J.J. Abrams spoke to host Stephen Colbert on Monday night about Carrie Fisher’s Star Wars legacy and how they included her in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. “She was the greatest,” Abrams said. “And we knew that there was no way that we could finish this Skywalker saga without Leia. It was impossible.” Abrams explained how they went back and used scenes that had been shot for The Force Awakens but did not get used in the final film. “Those scenes were material that we 100 percent realized that could be used to tell her story in this film. So every time you’re seeing Leia in scenes with characters it’s Carrie in the movie.”
