Though the main branch of Carnegie Deli has been closed for almost two years now (after a 79 year run!!), the iconic New York City restaurant is opening a pop-up deli in honor of the second season premiere of the Amazon series, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
According to the website, “While it may be 2018 on the outside, it’s 1958 on the inside—the decor, the jukebox, the photobooth, and even the menu.” With “The Maisel” sandwich listed for the price of 99 cents, we’d have to say we agree. Just look at this delicious-looking monstrosity built with pastrami, salami, cole slaw and special sauce on rye bread!
The second season of the show, starring Rachel Brosnahan and Alex Borstein, begins December 5. The Carnegie Deli pop-up will run from December 1-8.
